A resident of Novosibirsk has put up for sale a collection of 100-ruble banknotes, valuing it at three million rubles. The collection includes banknotes from the 2014 series dedicated to the Sochi Olympics. The seller claims that the banknotes have never been in circulation and are in pristine condition.
The collection consists of approximately 22 banknotes of three different types, featuring images of a ball, a snowboarder, and the Rzhev Memorial to the Soviet Soldier. There are also two banknotes from the SK-KS series depicting the sunken ships monument in Sevastopol Bay.
When contacted by a reporter, the seller stated that she set the price as a joke, inspired by similar advertisements. It is unclear what price she would actually accept for the collection.
