Pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo, who gained immense fame with her hit single "Drivers License" in 2021, has since solidified her presence in the music industry with two albums, Sour (2021) and Guts (2023), as well as a few Grammy wins. However, during the 2024 Governors Awards held on Tuesday, Rodrigo surprised fans by expressing her desire to return to acting.
Rodrigo attended the ceremony to support her single "You Can't Catch Me Now," featured in the Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. In an interview with Variety, she confessed her love for movies and storytelling, stating that she would like to explore acting, potentially even before reaching the official age for such roles.
Rodrigo said, "I just love telling stories, whether that be in a song or movie. That's really something that really excites me." The young artist also mentioned her admiration for singer-songwriter Noah Kahan, expressing a desire to collaborate with him in the future. Kahan is currently nominated for Best New Artist at the upcoming Grammy Awards.
For the event, Rodrigo showcased her fashion sense in a stunning strapless black vintage Yves Saint Laurent dress with a sweetheart neckline. She complemented the look with geometric silver earrings and styled her long brown hair in a high ponytail with a deep side part. Her scarlet-red lipstick and matching nails added a touch of glamour to her ensemble.
