German sportswear company adidas has announced that they will be renaming the 11pro boots in honor of Toni Kroos. The boots will now be called TKpro.
"Toni Kroos and 11pro: love at first sight, kindred spirits until the last strike. Today we are delighted to announce that adidas 11pro will be renamed adidas TKpro. Thank you, Toni," the announcement said.
On July 5, Kroos played his last career match. The day before, Germany lost to Spain in the Euro 2024 quarter-finals (1-2) and were eliminated from the competition. The footballer had previously stated that this would be his final tournament.
Throughout his career, Kroos played over 800 matches. He won the UEFA Champions League six times (one with Bayern Munich, five with Real Madrid), won the Bundesliga three times, and became a four-time champion of Spain. He is also a winner of the Spanish and German Cups and Super Cups.
With the German national team, he won the 2014 FIFA World Cup and was twice a bronze medalist in the European Championships (2012, 2016).
