In a minute's walk from Galerie Vivienne, where his debut took place in January 2022 and the first Kenzo Takada store opened, Nigo has selected Parc Palais-Royal as the venue for his fashion show next year. The collection features a mix of island tropes and signature house elements.
On the runway, Japanese sandals (dzori), rain-soaked palm-printed capes, fisherman net-inspired tops adorned with sea treasures, and hoodies made of the same net material, reminiscent of amphibious suits, were seen. Shoppers were also "caught" in the same net, and the pockets of wasserman vests were embellished with the net as well.
The Eiffel Tower finds its place on asymmetrical blazers, within a Japanese courtyard, where the brand's iconic tiger, a symbol since 1969, can also be spotted. Nigo plays with the wild animal by placing smiley "cat" embroideries on bombers and adorning models' shoulders with backpacks featuring tiger heads.
The event is expected to be a stylish resort near Moscow, offering a shopping destination, beach club, and an ocean of entertainment. "Unfilmed Scripts": Gorchilin, Saveliev, Alyabiev, and Gordinsky speak about the new theater project in "Zotov."
