Meghan Markle and Prince Harry kicked off Thanksgiving week by attending a Vancouver Canucks hockey game against the San Jose Sharks. The couple's appearance at the game was to celebrate the upcoming Invictus Games in Vancouver and Whistler in February 2025, as stated by the Canucks on their social media account.
During the game, Meghan looked both polished and casual, wearing a stylish Max Mara coat, black top, Altuzarra trousers, Cartier choker, watch, gold bracelets, and a Lorraine Schwartz five-eye diamond bracelet. She was seen cheering alongside Harry in the stands.
Just days before their outing, royal reporter Omid Scobie discussed the differing views of Harry and Meghan regarding the royal family. According to Scobie, Markle has moved on from the royals, while Harry still feels he has unfinished business. While writing his book, Scobie was informed by sources close to Meghan that she wanted nothing to do with it.
Scobie added, "For Harry, it's different. He still has battles with the press that he wants to address. His challenge will be finding a balance between his past and finding a new space where he can work freely." He also mentioned that those working in the palace now view Meghan and Harry as "irritating noise" and believe that their opinions hold no value. Scobie acknowledged that although the royal family is different and considered family, the meaning of family holds a different significance for them.
